The Florida All-State Chorus auditions are right around the corner on Saturday, September 10th. The 1st audition will include a written music theory exam and an oral sight-reading exam. In this workshop, we’ll breakdown both parts of the middle school audition: the 9 parts of the theory test and 4 levels of sight-reading.
Workshop host Liana Salinas is a music educator and entrepreneur. Liana is our My Music Music CEO and Founder! She has taught hundred of students in private lessons, workshops, and Masterclasses. She continues to work directly with school music teachers to provide workshops and classes for their students.
Ms. Salinas taught middle and high school chorus for 5 years. During that time, she is proud to have prepared hundreds of students for the All-State auditions. Each year, the majority of her students were accepted into one of the All-State choirs.
Ms. Salinas also serves as the Artistic Director of the Miami Children’s Chorus, an organization near and dear to her heart. Ms. Salinas has been a part of the MCC family for 23 years. At MCC, she is modernizing the choral experience through creative performance programming.
