This Songwriters Circle is proudly presented in partnership with Tea & Poets.
Have you been working on writing an original song? Maybe you aren’t quite ready to share it with the world yet, but could use some feedback from other songwriters on developing your work. If that idea speaks to you, this is the place to do it!
In this Songwriters Circle, you will have a chance to dissect your work with other songwriters who will provide constructive feedback on your current project. A professional will guide the group through a collective exploration of each participant's music, offering ideas and inspiration to improve upon the works being evaluated. You will make connections with other songwriters and learn about their successes and failures when creating their original music. Most importantly, you will be inspired to think about your own creations in innovative ways!

This masterclass will be led by Sam Scheibe, an award-winning composer/arranger, conductor, and performer of contemporary choral music. His music has been performed and commissioned by groups such as the Westminster Williamson Voices, Anchorae, the West Jersey Chamber Music Society, the University of Aberdeen Chamber Choir, The Deaftones of Westminster Choir College, the Trentones of TCNJ, and the Octals of Dickson College. He received his undergraduate degree from Westminster Choir College, his first Master's degree from the University of Aberdeen, and is now pursuing a Master's in Choral Conducting from the University of Miami, under the direction of Dr. Amanda Quist. Sam also sings professionally as a bass-baritone with the West Jersey Chamber Music Society and the Same Stream Choir.
