Hey teacher friend, I’m Liana. Before I founded My Music Match, I was a full-time chorus teacher at a performing arts middle and high school. I have literally been in your shoes! I know how many responsibilities you juggle and how hard it can be to give your students the individual attention that they need to thrive. That’s why I want to support you.

You became a teacher to teach, but the reality is that you wear so many other hats! You’re juggling parent communication, fundraising, budgeting and accounting, recruitment, professional development, etc. on top of lesson planning, event planning, programming, grading… the list goes on and on. When you partner with us, you gain a team of dedicated teachers and administrators who will take the load off and be with you every step of the way.

Take our matching quiz

It’ll give us all the info we need to get started creating your school’s customized plan. Tell us about your program’s background, goals, budget, and more. Be as specific as you can.

Talk to a Matching Director

At the end of the quiz, you’ll be prompted to make a call with one of our matching directors. They’ve reviewed your info and will have some ideas and some questions to learn more about your program’s needs.

Perfect the plan

With your vision at the forefront, we’ll draw up some proposals for you. We’ll refine the schedule, teacher and student rosters, class types, and budget until we land on a plan that will work for you and your students.

Classes begin!

Once we’ve agreed on a plan, we’ll pick a start date and begin classes. You’ll have a designated Partnership Manager who will oversee the execution of the plan, communicate with the team, and update the budget so you have an actualized version every 2 weeks.

    Linda attended an online masterclass

    I recently attended an online Masterclass hosted by My Music Match which featured four vocal artists who had all performed professionally on Broadway in Hamilton. Though I am not a musician myself it was fascinating to hear about their own artistic development—and then be able to watch each one coach an aspiring vocalist. For me it was as though a window opened onto the world of musical theatre—and I got to peek in and listen! I heard from Johanna how amazing it was when Lin-Manuel suddenly showed up at a rehearsal—or what it was like to be a Black artist performing in Hamilton, especially now when the Black Lives Matter movement is generating its own revolution. I loved when Fergie asked his student to truly ask herself the rather rhetorical questions featured in her song. My only disappointment was that the teachers themselves didn’t sing much—just a few tantalizing snatches here and there. But the whole evening was so entertaining that I can’t wait for the next event from My Music Match.

    Alice took lessons for collega audition prep

    I took classes with Liana and Ben for 6 months and it’s crazy to see how much I’ve improved during this short period of time! I started with her, as my private teacher, and then, after a couple months together, we started preparing me for my college auditions. Ben would come in sometimes and the combination of them two was impressive. They gave me exercises, showed me techniques, helped me choose songs, and make the arrangements. We worked on everything, and I felt my confidence growing. I looked forward to the day that we had classes. I got into the only 2 colleges I applied to, (and Ben played in piano in one of the auditions). Today, I’m finishing my first semester at Berklee, and I know I couldn’t have done it without them. Their help, and care were so important for me to be here. I’m thankful, and glad I got to meet them!
